Camazo AG
A custom WordPress platform for three automotive brands—with vehicle listings, inquiries, and multilingual content.
Project status: Active development. The core platform and functionality shown here are implemented, while additional content, testing, and refinements are still in progress.
Camazo website walkthrough: automotive presentation, vehicle listings, and custom page sections.
A custom multi-brand WordPress platform
Camazo AG needed a premium automotive website that could represent three different brands while remaining easy to manage. I built a custom WordPress theme and three focused systems for page building, vehicle inquiries, image optimization, and multilingual publishing.
Multi-brand design system
Why I built it: The client wanted all three brands inside one WordPress installation. Each brand needed its own logo, footer, visual identity, and content, with simple switching for visitors.
How it works: The brands share one technical foundation for templates, responsive layouts, galleries, sliders, and vehicle cards. The website then loads the correct logo, header, footer, and visual assets for the selected brand.
The client manages everything from one dashboard, while each brand keeps its own identity. Shared functionality only needs to be maintained once.
Flexible page builder
Why I built it: The team needed to create attractive pages without writing code or accidentally breaking the design.
How it works: I developed nine custom Gutenberg components for text sections, showcases, feature areas, galleries, stories, vehicle grids, contact popups, and interactive visual elements.
Editors can combine these components and change their content through controlled settings. This provides flexibility while keeping typography, spacing, colors, and layouts consistent.
Vehicle catalogue and inquiry workflow
Why I built it: Vehicles needed structured information, and every customer inquiry had to remain connected to the car being viewed.
How it works: I created a dedicated vehicle content type with categories, images, specifications, descriptions, and reusable layouts. Vehicle grids are generated dynamically, so newly added cars can automatically appear in the correct sections.
Each vehicle can open its own inquiry form. Submissions are validated, sanitized, and protected by WordPress security checks with optional Cloudflare Turnstile verification.
Configurable email profiles route each inquiry to the correct recipient. The business receives the vehicle and customer details, while the customer receives a formatted confirmation.
Automated image optimization
Why I built it: Automotive websites require high-resolution photography, but large images can make galleries and vehicle pages slow.
How it works: The system automatically generates WebP versions of uploaded JPG and PNG files, including every image size created by WordPress. It uses the best image-processing engine available on the server.
Administrators can adjust the image quality and process the existing media library in batches. This removes the need to optimize every image manually.
German and English publishing
Why I built it: Manually maintaining two languages would make pages, vehicles, links, and navigation difficult to keep synchronized.
How it works: The system pairs German content with its English version, remembers the visitor's language, updates internal links, redirects to the appropriate page, and provides a language switcher.
Editors can create translations manually or generate English drafts with OpenAI. The translation process preserves Gutenberg blocks, HTML, shortcodes, URLs, identifiers, and vehicle data while translating the human-readable content.
Delivery
I packaged WordPress, PHP 8.3, MySQL, WP-CLI, Docker Compose, and an nginx reverse proxy into a maintainable deployment.
The result is one platform for managing three brands, vehicle inventory, images, translations, and customer inquiries—with responsive presentation and simple administration.
